Here’s my first thinking through drawing prompt, along with my own stack of loopy drawings. Iwill share these prompts in this subscriber chat, and invite you to post your visual and verbal responses there!
The first prompt is inspired by Vi Hart’s Doodling in Math Class, which I have been obsessed by for years!
1. Lightly draw a looping line that crosses itself multiple times. Close the line so that it ends where it begins.
2. Articulate and alternate the intersections (under and over, over and under-- watch Vi Hart’s video for clues)
3. Can you. make the line look three-D by adding shading at the intersections? By adding a texture or pattern that goes around and gives dimension to the form?
4. Can you add a background that makes your loopy line pop?
